Welcome to the ultimate musical theatre experience. This year we're bringing Matilda the musical to life on stage. Here's how it works.

AUDITIONS
We will hold preliminary auditions in February. Students should be ready to dance first and then be prepared to sing a short song of their choosing either with a backing track or acapella (without music). You may bring an accompanist to play piano for their song if you like.
There will be a call-back audition for the leading roles in March.
Auditions are required for all speaking and solo singing roles, but not required to be in the show, but are encouraged for everyone.

COST
The cost for the production is $850. This covers rehearsal space, instructors, props, set pieces, theater rental, lighting and sound operators and stage management. It does not cover the cost of all costumes or tickets for performances.

REHEARSALS
We will rehearse Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm starting June 8th. Rehearsals will be held in studio 5 at Broadway Arts & Dance Academy. July 13th through July 17th, technical rehearsals will be held at Shorecrest Preparatory School starting at 9am and going until 1pm.

SHOWS
There will be two showings of Matilda. The first will happen at 12pm. The second will be at 5pm. Depending upon auditions and turnout, these shows may be entirely different casts.

We may attempt to do an understudy show to be held at Broadway Arts & Dance Academy on July 20th.
